Scott purchased the '57 Chevy Model 150 in 2002 from its owner
in Homestead, Florida. The previous owner purchased it in 1997 and
had given it a basic restoration/preservation project that included
a "Black Widow" replica paint job and the proper crossed
flages indicating the fuel injection system that was installed in
the 10 original "Black Widows" Chevrolet produced with
150-series pattern upholstery.
Restoration was started in October, 2002, and completed in April,
2004.Other than the description above, the restoration was stock
'57 Chevrolet with a 283 4-barrel engine built to factory specs,
3-speed transmission on column, bench seating, no radio, one sun
visor and precious little else.
Scott says, "We did not build a 100 point car - it's no "trailer
queen." We took a good old hotrod and built a thumbs up, head
turner!"
