Accounting Services
The Accounting Department handles the financial transactions for
the company. They keep day-by-day records of business transactions,
prepare financial statements and tax returns, prepare and file reports
required by state insurance divisions, and issue payroll as well
as other types of checks.

Actuarial
Services
The Actuarial Services Department determines and justifies rates
for automobile, homeowners, and rental owner lines of insurance.
They are also accountable for auto, homeowners and rental owners
rates, rating rules, forms, as well as product development of all
underwriting rules and standards.

Claims Services
The Claims Services Division is responsible for handling and settling
claims. They work with Divisional Support's Special Investigations
Unit (SIU), Minor Impact Soft Tissue Unit (MIST), and industry officials
to control severity as well as handle the administration of claim
files and draft requests.

| Position Information: |
The Claims Manager's role includes making decisions, implementing processes, and measurably improving operations. This involves supporting ANPAC Team Member transactions through workflow planning, performance management, process improvement, and continuous learning behaviors. This position requires a working knowledge of and compliance with applicable EEO laws, other labor relation laws and regulations, wage and hour regulations, and company human resource policies, systems, and procedures, etc.
II. Claims Managers are expected to manage the customer demand volumes and performance vs. expectations on a daily basis by applying a management process, which is driven by clear expectations and appropriate measures.
Claims Managers should actively support ANPAC Team Members' daily transactions by clarifying boundaries of authority for policies, escalation, and exceptions to claims settlement.
Claims Managers should actively champion the continuous improvement processes by managing barrier identification and removal, participating in new process design, and driving existing process re-design, following the established BEST Model.
Possess and role model knowledge and an ability to learn and adapt. Knowledge includes programs, processes, and business components.

Claims Representative

A Minimum of 2 years of telephone adjusting or equivalent field experience is preferred, including previous training or experience in determining liability, negotiating settlements, reviewing estimates and understanding construction terminology. MS Word and Outlook experience/proficiency preferred. |
| Specific Abilities: |
Ability to handle moderate size first and third party claims. Good claims investigative skills. Ability to negotiate claim settlements effectively with attorneys. Must be able to work with the public and company personnel cordially and respectfully. Must have considerable knowledge of policy forms and coverages. Construction terminology is helpful. |

- Assume responsibility for low to medium severity Section 1 type claims and management of I/A personnel.
- Review facts of loss and details of coverage via the
computer system.
- Determine investigative needs to assess damages, cause of loss, and coverage.
- Document computer log with results of review and intentions
for handling.
- Contact relevant parties (insureds, contractors, mortgage companies, etc). Take recorded statement, Explain claims process and coverages. Begin investigation and identify SIU indicators, etc. Document computer log.
- Determine inspection needs, including any salvage/subrogation potential, order police reports, fire reports, take witness statements, review field reports and photos, etc. Document computer log.
- Compile information for decision making. Assess any follow-up investigative needs. Determine scope of coverage and damages, and make decision. Document computer log.

Claims Representative - Physical Damage

Claims Specialist

- Determine inspection needs, order police reports, scene investigation, take witness statements, review Material Damage photos, order medical reports, etc. Assess any follow-up investigative needs and continually assess appropriate reserves.

Evaluate the medical injury exposure within guidelines, research & review appropriate statutes and case law for relevance to claim issues, and make appropriate and timely payments.

Medical Claims Representative

- Document contact with all parties. Send appropriate medical forms. Order medical records, reports and bills, index, verify wages, essential services and order IME as needed.
- Verify whether treatment and charges are necessary, reasonable, and related to the accident. Evaluate the medical injury exposure within guidelines, and make appropriate and timely payments.
- Recognize claims committee and reinsurance criteria and refer files as appropriate. Identify SIU factors.
- Maintain appropriate communication and follow up to conclusion of claim.

Underwriting Services
The Underwriting Services Division is responsible for maintaining
policy issue, acceptance of risks, underwriting, rating and coding,
renewals, and premium payments for those states in which ANPAC/ANG/PACIFIC
is currently operating. The division also has the responsibility
of field training and product knowledge. A satellite Underwriting
Services office for Texas is located at South Shore Harbour in League
City, Texas.

Associate Underwriter I

- Assume processing responsibility for assigned state(s) or agencies. (a) Process policy changes via computer system. (b) Review policy information, perform rating of vehicle drivers, verify appropriate coverage, etc. (c) Finalize data entry and authorize issuance of policies via the computer system.
- Review required documentation for policy changes. Follow up with the underwriter & modify the policy as necessary.
- Review binders and applications for accuracy. Determine if policy meets eligibility guidelines and accept, reject and/or adjust coverage as necessary.
- Assume responsibility for large volume of incoming inquiries via phone, email, fax, etc. from agents, policy holders and others. Handle overflow phone inquiries via the ACD phone system.
- Instruct agents on company guidelines and procedures. Be an available resource to agents on a daily basis.
- Research agent service problems/issues to conclusion. This may include communications with other underwriting units, Actuarial Services, Accounting, MITS, etc.

Associate Underwriter I - Client Information File

- Enter CIF (Client Information File) paper and emailed policy changes via the mainframe system and the INSPIRE program.
- Review agent submitted INSPIRE address, client, and account changes for accuracy and completion in accordance with established CIF guidelines.
- 3. Analyze policyholder accounts and communicate with agents as needed to determine correct account owner. Determine when a new account should be established, new applications submitted, and credit scores should be ordered based on household changes.
- Review CIF accounts in order to process system generated CIF referrals. Policies (including life and Farm Family) are reviewed to ensure all policies are listed on the proper CIF account. This process ultimately affects agent commissions and account level discounts.
- Research and resolve CA$HBACK from ANPAC® and TLC discount (Tri-Line Client) questions and issues.
- 6. Effectively handle incoming phone calls from agents, policyholders, and underwriting team members.

Licensed Customer Service Representative

- Assume responsibility for licensure requirements and full fiduciary responsibility to the insured while adhering to the company guidelines for profitability. Maintains full binding authority in assigned states.
- Maintain/recover insureds that have been transferred to the Home office Agency. Conducting a needs analysis for the account and make recommendations, as needed, regarding policy coverage, deductibles, and optional coverages.
- Maintain a high level of understanding of policy rating and procedures. Knowledge of basic underwriting guidelines and requirements for auto, motorcycle, recreational vehicle, home, boat, rental owner property and related endorsements required.
- Must be familiar with all departments to maintain smooth transfer of information. Required to communicate accurate information to the field force. Must be able to use analytical and judgement skills to make independent decisions.
- Provide service to an ANPAC field representative's book of business, as directed, for an interim period to maintain the client as an ANPAC insured through the transition by exhibiting a positive customer/agent relation.
